just built my pc into the Gigabyte 3DAurora, brought my temps down by at least 10 c and my pc is now almost completely silent! i can hear my harddrive!

would definately recommend this case to anyone, made completely from aluminium, easy tooless design and looks AWESOME

get one

specs:

Gigabyte GA-P31-DSL3
Intel e4500
2GB Geil 800
BFG 8800GT OC
Hiper 580w PSU
250gb maxtor

I actually was going to get this case a long while back. But there are 2 versions:

The older: $139

The newer: $159

So which one is the OP referring to?

Edit:

Not to mention it comes in Black or Silver.

its the 3DAurora, not the 570 (the 570 being the newer one)

its also black and has the grille rather than the window which in my opinion looks far classier

i had the NZXT Nemesis before this

paid £85 GBP which i dont think is too bad for such a quality product

I have been using my 3d Aurora for almost three years, it's a good case but it has its flaws.

1. The front fan is has almost no flow due to the way the had drive cage is positioned.

2. The 5.25 bays are not suitable for anything short, ie fan controllers

I swapped the fans for 3 Aero Cool Turbine 1000, (Bought for £3 each) they look better and shift more air.

to be honest i have no problem with the airflow at stock, but then my system isnt super high end so maybe you're trying to shift more heat.

i had noticed that about the front dive bays and you're right it is a flaw, you have to remove the tool box or theres no airflow at all!

have you changed the decal in the projector?

No, The case sits on the floor so it cant be seen,

I removed the tool box 1st day,

As for the heat its not a particularly hot system, the hottest things are the HDDs and the old 6800GT (although its got an aftermarked cooler on it)

I have an Antec Atlas which has 2 92mm tricools on the lowest settings blowing over the HDDs and a 120mm Tricool at the rear again on lowest settings, the loudest thing in that case is the Arctic cooling Freezer 64!
The is a lot cooler but very cramped compared to the Aurora

my 3rd case is also silent a Thermalrock Eclipse, even more cramped, if I put a 6800Gt in this I have to juggle the HDD placements as they over lap the board. but its a coolish looking case though.

I guess it is an OK case, if a little pricy for what you get. My retailer didn't have a CM Cosmos in stock, and I didn't want yet another LianLi V1000. So I got an Aurora 570S.

Minor quibbles: Molex for power LED? Only 5 HDD bays, which also blocks the front intake fan. PSU not bottom mount. LED fans. 5.25" bay retention system feels cheap (rails would have done fine). The side panel feels like it is barely thicker than a soda can. Mesh panel = another dust collector.
Probably going to be my first and last Gigabyte case. While it doesn't cost as much as a LianLi, Silverstone or whatever, the quality isn't what I expect from a good case. Considering the V1000 is only cost about 30 bucks more, I guess you can color me a little disappointed. I may not have any major complaints about the Aurora, but the extra attention to detail from the top guys is worth the extra few bucks.

But on a good note, it is at least quiet, 2 120mm exhaust, and has a low key good looks. That solid chunk of aluminum door is just pure awesomeness. If they only made the panels half as sturdy as that door... 😗
(I named this new computer the tin can for obvious reasons :kaola: )

The #1 issue with this case, and it's big. Too much exhaust for the tiny amount of air the front fan gets into the case.

but the exhaust fans are positioned right next to the grille so its actively pulling cold air in that way, put your hand in front of the grille and you can feel the airflow.

well i guess its down to taste, but im very happy with my purchase and that, as they say, is the main thing
