so my friend offered to sell me one of his 1080's since he has two of them and only need one. The GPU is about 7-8 months old. So I'm wondering what price is should buy it for

Is it a founder edition with the blower style heatsink or the Gaming (red/black heatsink) version? I wouldn't pay more than $475 because the new msrp is supposed to be $499.

Probably Gaming X edition, is it in good condition? That depends too. GTX 1080's prices have dropped anyway because of 1080 ti. So if good condition I guess 400$ is fine.
