Specs:
Mobo: asus prime z390-a
Cpu: i5-9600kf
RAM: corsair ddr4 2x16 GB 3200MHz
PSU: EVGA 600w 80 plus
Gpu: gigabyte 1060 windforce

I bought a new motherboard, cpu, and ram to update my pc some. After installing all of it, I cannot get anything to happen. I flip the switch to turn the psu on, and computer turns on (mobo lights up, fans spin), and then it all shuts off. Led lights continue to glow on the motherboard. I am unable to use the power switch to turn it on, not even the switch on the motherboard.

When it did stay on for more than 10 secs, the DRAM led lit up, and then it would shut down again. I followed the manual and cleared the RTC RAM, and I also took the battery out.

After doing that, now it wont stay on past 2 seconds.

I have tried the ram in slot 1 and 3, as well as 2 and 4.

The gpu is taken out for now since the battery sat behind it. Maybe I do t have something plugged? I'm very new to this, so I apologize in advance if I dont know the correct terms and such.

Thanks for any help or even just reading this.

So apparently, this motherboard doesn't support 9th gen CPUs out of the box.

I am having this exact same problem. The best I can get out of ASUS is that you need to have an 8th Gen processor to boot and then update the BIOS to a version that supports 9th gen CPUs.

It is an incredibly frustrating oversight from ASUS.
