Print Screen - CanI increase resolution?

The few times I wish to print the screen of my Sonly laptop, I save it in a .bmp file, which, when I open with Photoshop, I see the resolution is fixed (?) at 72 pixels/inch, which is rather a low resolution. Can I print the screen at a higher resolution?

I don't believe you can. This may help you but I've never used it.

72 dpi is the fixed number of linear pixels on the screen. So when you "print screen", that's what you get in the duplicate.
It's all you need for viewing on screen, it's not intended to be printout quality.
