I can't print on line or off. I have HP 2210. Faxing not
set up. I tried all advice in the printer, trouble
shooter/tool box. Usually solves any problem. It is set
for off line printing. I may have clicked this by
mistake. I can't find the solution to set it back. I
have windows XP. It was working fine earlier. I tried
Enable file & prit sharing IPX/SPX protocol. Froze after
clicking add. Ended program. I do have Norton System
works 2004. Not showing a virus. I do not know how to
download the patch listed for XP users posted on Symantec
last week. I dont know if this worm could be causing my
problems. Every time I print get failed to print error.
Can someone offer advice?

Thanks,
Kathy

I'm not sure why you have installed the IPX protocol, Windows XP only needs
TCP/IP and mixing and matching protocols is never a good idea.

Is this printer a local printer or a networked one?

Have you downloaded and installed all the Critical Updates from the Windows
Update site... is your antivirus software up to date and have you run a
complete scan?
