Hello,
I have an HP CP2025dn laserjet printer. Prints fine from my Mac and has plenty of toner. HP driver software on Windows 7 machine says the printer is out of toner. Need to know how to disable this. Have already uninstalled and reinstalled driver. Worked temporarily and now getting same message again. Have consulted google but haven't seen anything specific to this yet.

Yep had exact same problem....There is a problem with the driver/port...I looked this up on the HP website and found the solution was to edit the printer properties, select port, add a standard tcp/ip port, and set it to the printers ip...and the problem went away as soon as I hit apply.

This solution worked for me. I have a HP P2035n and am running Windows 8.1 on a few computers on the network. The other computers have Win 7 and print fine. I was about to run and buy a new printer - THANK YOU - for saving me money. Yes, the TONER LOW indicator light is on, but I think it's just like that because I'm not using official HP toner - too expensive! We just keep printing until the toner actually runs out.

I had tried re-installing the print drivers, factory resets on the printer AND MY COMPUTER (!!), cursing and almost gave up. Who knew it was as easy as changing the port to Standard TCP/IP. It was using some kind of WSD Printer something or other before that.

Anyway thank you for saving my sanity.
