My comp is a P5B asus, c2d e6600 (stepping 6, revision B2)+Zalman CNPS9500, 2x1gb corsair valueselect 667 cl5, 7900gt top, 520 Watt nesteq PS.

I wanted to do some overclocking. Not realy hardcore I was thinking of getting it up to 3.2 as I have heard that can be achieved easily.

I have found several guides related to this mainboard and cpu. Printed them out and followed them step by step but I seem to fail miserably evry single time. I always get that screen at bootup that overclocking failed. Getting somewhat frustrated but I hope someone here can help.

Disabled C1E, EIST, Spread spectrum. Set pci express 100, pci 33.

Tried: CPU multi 9 and bus speed 300 to get 2700 but fails. Also tried 8x300 but failed.

Any ideas?
