[SOLVED] Problem updating firmware on DrayTek Router ?

Hello everyone. I have a DrayTek Vigor 2760n router. I wanted to update it's firmware and when I looked at the official website, I saw that I can update from 3.8.9.4_STD to 3.8.9.6_BT.

After the update, the device stays in TFTP mode and does not turn on. So I switched to 3.8.9.4_BT using TFTP mode (because I couldn't find the STD version anywhere). When I switch back to 3.8.9.4_BT, the device resets itself and starts working normally, but after a few seconds it resets itself again and switches back to TFTP mode.

Where can I find the STD version or how can I manually turn off TFTP mode?

edit 1:
According to the manual, pressing and holding the RESET button while turning on the device puts the device into TFTP mode and makes it possible to send firmware to the device using the Firmware Utility software. According to my measurements, if you do nothing after about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, the TFTP mode turns off and the device automatically resets itself. However, since it falls into TFTP mode again when it turns on, I wondered if the RESET button was stuck, but there is no stuck button. If anyone has an idea, we can discuss.

_BT being "Beta Test"?

If anything, the problem could be a glitch in the firmware. Especially if BT is Beta Test and STD is Standard.

Is this DrayTek link the source of the firmware?

https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/vigor-2760

and

Out of my comfort zone; however, take a closer look at the firmware update that was downloaded.

May not be matched to the router model.

I don't know what BT or STD means, I just paid attention to the STD at the end before updating the firmware of my product.

Yes, the link you sent is the link of the 2760 family, including my product. The 2nd link you sent is from 2019 and there they explained the difference of the STD file from the VECTOR file. However, when I look at the Web Archive records for 2019, I see that there is still a BT version. I will look a little more carefully, I hope I can find a firmware that includes STD.

Finally, I couldn't find a proper instruction in the manual you posted, but thank you for your help.

Hello everyone. It's me again :). I finally found the solution and I want to share it with all of you.

First of all, as @Ralston18 said, the router was entering TFTP mode at startup due to an inappropriate firmware version. So I found another DrayTek Vigor2760n device and connected to this device using FTP client software. There was a file named v2760_3.8.2_STD.all in the main folder and I downloaded this file to my local computer. I uploaded this downloaded firmware file to my problematic router using TFTP mode with the Firmware Upgrade Utility 3.7.1 software in the link below. And now the problem is solved!

Thinking of someone who may need the firmware file I downloaded to my local computer in the future, I share this file below with the virustotal link. I wish everyone good forums!
