Thanks for responding. do you mean a total uninstall of all computer drivers ?
No. Just uninstall the graphic card drivers. Standard Windows graphic drivers will do until you can get the correct specific drivers installed.
Both drivers from gateway and amd are not working for me, the gateway ones give me an error after the install and the amd ones say incompatible
I figured the drivers from AMD would be incompatible and I'm not certain the drivers you downloaded from Gateway were the correct ones.
plus the gateway ones are from 2011, which isnt exactly what i am looking for
Such is the life of laptop owners.
@IceClock
have u considered just reinstalling windows?
The OP has already stated that s/he's done this.
Please provide us with the exact model number of your laptop and IceClock or I (any anyone else in the forum) can provide you with either a link or instructions on how to get the correct drivers for your laptop.
Once you have the drivers, try to install them immediately.
If that fails, try to boot your system into safe mode and then try to install the drivers.
If that fails, download and install CCleaner. Boot into safe mode and remove the graphic card drivers only. Reboot again into safe mode and then try to install the drivers.
If that fails, I would try to do another fresh install of Windows and try to install the Gateway downloaded drivers one last time.
If ALL of that fails, perform a system restore to factory defaults.
