hi guys I have
hd 5450 1GB ddr3
amd atholn 64 7750 2.7 ghz dual core
and 2GB ram

the card is working fine but it's kinda week but not much
I play battlefield 3 with color correction and ultra settings on 640*480 resloution when I override my card from the catalyst control center
I could play with these settings and 800*600 or sometime 1024*768
but after few minutes or some time 40 minutes or any time the sound start looping and game freeze and a red dots come all over the screen and I have to minimize the game and maximize it again to play for a few minutes and the same happens and sometimes game crashes and I have to close it or restart pc and when I come back to the default settings and CCC the games work fine even if I play for 6 hour Continuous
so I hope you help me my screen is big and 640*480 is shitty and dunno how to fix

BTW CCC current settings
high performance GPU clock settings 650 mhz
high performance memory clock settings 500 mhz

but I want them to be
high performance GPU clock settings 700mhz
high performance memory clock settings 900mhz
it gives me a 10 fps boost but when I do the problem above happens
BTW no dust on VGA or over heat please help

please help

the default clock on CCC for GPU is 650 and for memory is 500
tha max memory clock on CCC for GPU is 700 and memory is 900

I made memory for 800 and it doesn't change but when I restart the GPU clock turns form(e.g. 800) it returns to default dunno why by the way there's much deffrence in games when I clock it with AMD GPU clock TOOl but when restart or shutdown it returns to 650 againg any one can help

guys will my card be ruined when I change GPU clock every time I run my PC ?

and BTW the installion of GPU clock tool
is not completed
it stuck with
execute C:\program files\AMD GPU Clock tool\tools_driver\insttol.exe

may it be the cause of the problem ?
I left it more than an hour and still not moving
please help

In itself, changing the GPU clock is entirely harmless no matter how many times you do it. But of course if you increase it too much then the card might overheat and be damaged. The problems you've experienced are almost certainly due to overheating.

Seriously, just buy a better graphics card. It doesn't have to be expensive to be way better than your 5450.

nope I'm trying to keep the heat lower than 70c

the maximum heat I've seen was 64c
not to high right?

go buy a fan. you will get 40-45 with a fan attached. I own hd 5450 too. the clock reset after restart or shudown. I don't know why. but i set it quickly by using Sapphire TRIXX. the gpu can clocks over 900mhz.by using the trixx tool. but careful. watch out for temps. but mine when clock its flickers. just go buy a fan. lower the temps.
