Hey,

I have a problem with my onboard Bluetooth adapter and can't solve it by myself — maybe someone can help me :)

The adapter showed up in Device Manager, but all devices were greyed out.

Hardware:
  • i7-12700K
  • ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI
  • G.Skill DDR5 RAM
  • RTX 4080

What I already did:
  • Bluetooth adapter is enabled in the BIOS
  • The Bluetooth Support Service (not sure what it's called exactly in English) is running
  • Tried to install the driver (nothing happens when I start the setup, same when running it as administrator)

So I decided to uninstall the devices in Device Manager → now Bluetooth doesn’t show up at all, even when I search for hardware changes. (Hidden Devices are visible)

Choose the OS from the drop down menu on this site;
then scroll down to Bluetooth, then manually install the latest version(Intel Bluetooth Driver V23.80.0.3) in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

If the adapter still doesn't show up, you should think about reinstalling your chipset drivers. Speaking of your motherboard, what BIOS version are you on?

Thanks for the answer,
I already tried to manually install the Intel Bluetooth Driver V23.80.0.3 with admin rights.

Now I Updated my BIOS to 4301 and the Chipset Driver.
Tried again to install the Bluetooth driver, but same results

I don't understand why the setup doesn't launch when I try to run it.

It's working again. I ran the Windows troubleshooting tool, which recommended doing a cold start: turning off the PC using the power button, unplugging it for 10 seconds, and then restarting.
Somehow, that solved the problem, tbh i want to know why its working again, but im happy with it. xD
