Question Problem with connecting external monitors via docking station

Hi,

I have two external monitors and I successfully connect them both to a Lenovo Thinkpad gen2 docking station by DisplayPort 1.4 cables. Afterward, I use a USB-C/USB-C cable to connect the dock station to my laptop. This setup works on my multiple laptops. But my desktop PC does not connect external monitors with such USB-C cable. The desktop PC has a graphic card and both external monitors work correctly, if I connect both with DisplayPort 1.4 cable to the graphic card. The desktop has only one USB-C port (via the case).

The docking station seems to work correctly with the desktop PC, as I can connect USB speakers/keyboard/mouse to the docking station. Not sure why the external monitors cannot work.

Did somebody have such an issue? How should I fix it?

Can you check and see what your motherboard's BIOS version is for the PC? Also, did you try reinstalling your chipset drivers, in an elevated command , i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator, with the latest sourced from Intel's support site? Just curious, what is the make and model of your laptop that you use to tether the docking station to?

Desktop Motherboard bios: MS -7D99. I use Lenovo and Dell laptops without issue for several months with this dock station.

I ran windows update and the PC should be up to date, since the external monitors work correctly, if I connect them to the graphic card.

There might be issues with USB-C settings or dock station drivers. How should I do the follow-ups?

I updated all bios/drivers/utilities from MSI website and still no success. The latest bios version is 7D99v12.

I am also using the origin USB-C cable that arrived with the dock station. Since it is working with the laptops, I guess there is no faulty cable in the setup.
