I have a problem with my recently purchased Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super which has 3 DisplayPort and 1 HDMI outputs.
I use 2 LG IPS monitors which only have HDMI, DVI and VGA inputs, so with my graphics card I also purchased a DP-HDMI cable to use my second monitor with it.
HDMI port works just fine, the first display connects automatically always, however the GPU struggles to find the second monitor connected with the DP-HDMI cable via the DP port. Whenever I start the computer the second monitor can't find any signal, the PC can't see a second screen. But after random short period of time it starts working and it works as long as I don't turn off the computer or update the driver.
I've tried turning the PC on using just the second screen. It starts with a much lower resolution than the normal 1080p or with no signal at all (it seems it depends on how long was the PC turned off).
My BIOS is up to date, I've tried removing the graphics card and reinstalling it with the latest driver and I also set the power management mode to maximum performance in 3D settings of Nvidia Control Panel.
I couldn't try a regular DP-DP cable as I don't use a DP input monitor.
Any other solution to this? Thank you!
