Problem with i5-750 on GA-H55M-UD2H

I'm having mainboard H55M-UD2H, I bought an i5 750 to replace my i5 680. BUT the issues is when I put my i5 750 into the socket. I can't boot it up. The light goes on and off under 10secs. How do I supposed to do to fix it.

COOLERMASTER THUNDERBOLT 600W
8GB RAM DDR3 1333MHZ(2x2x2x2)
2 hard drive
Amd Radeon HD 6850(will be 750ti or 1050ti soon)
Dvd R/W

Replace the I5-680 and see if it POSTs again. Maybe a dead CPU. Where did you get the 750 from?

The i5 750 is the brand new one.No worries.
Before i5 680,i had the i3 540, this happened to i5 680 before. Then I updated bios,it works fine.

Remove the power cord from the PSU.

Reset the bios, take out the battery for a few mins.

Put it back in, plug the power back in and see if it will boot into the bios.

There is a battery on the MB.

Take that out (With the power disconnected).

Pull the power cord before taking it out.


Wait a few mins


Then put it back in.

Plug the power back in and start it back up and see if it will boot.

No, removing the battery with the power unplugged will do that.
