Question Problem with i7 12700k

Hello ,
Could somebody help me please?
My gpu us running only st 4x speed instead of 16x.
I ask myself if the cooler damaged the cpu/ was too tight? Check the photo please.

The cooler is bequiet darkrock 4 with the lga 1700 set.

Include PSU model name also.

Are you talking about the silver bit's on it? If so that's normal for Alder Lake, a cooler that was too tight would warp the substrate but yours's looks fine to me. As for your 4x on the GPU, need to know the board model really.

1. Is the GPU in the top slot?
2. Does your motherboard have multiple full length slots and if so did you populate any of them?

Normal.

Yes gpu on top, other ports as well only 4x speed.Maybe the mb faulty than, the drawings seem to be the same as on the 12900k.

Yes I think your CPU is perfectly fine. When you say the other ports are 4x what do you mean. Depending on the board configuration and how the slots are wired up, if you use any of the other full length slots it will reduce the PCI-E lanes to the GPU.

Unfortunately the Board is dissasembled but it was same with the render as well and very low fps in games.

How do you know X4 speed post a screen shot.

Ive checked with gpuz after ive notice a huge fps drops in games. I made bunch of other tests passmark etc.. CPU was ok but gpu benchamark very poor

Was that with something stressing the GPU when you checked GPUZ?

You can look to the right of where it shows it and their a blue ? Click on the ? and it will run a short test and see if it changes during that.

Yes i have made the gpuz render test as well and the speed didnt change

Check cpu socket for bent pins.

i tried the same hardware with a different mainboard and the result is same. The pins are ok on both of them
