ok this is the problem. I recently got a computer built for me and it has a athlon 2600+ 333mhz fsb in it. The problem is that when i ran sisoft sandra and went into cpu/bios info it says that i have an cpu speed of only 1.24Ghz, when as u know an athlon 2600+ should be running at roughly around 2.1Ghz. I also benchmark the cpu and it came up well short of what a 2600 should be doing. Prime95 also indicates that i have a cpu speed of 1243.5mhz so its not sandra that is giving a bad reading. So does anyone know what is going on? Did the computer company jipp me or what? Is there a program out there that will tell me what type of athlon i am running? coz sandra, prime and windows deice manager just show my processor as a Athlon with no number next to it.
