Hello.
I just installed a new ASRock K7NF2-RAID Socket A AMD motherboard.
I have a Athlon xp 2800+ 2.083 prosessor, but for some reason the prosessor is registered as running at 1.25ghz.
I tried looking in the bios and the manual for the motherboard but could not find anyhitng usefull.
What could be causing this?
Any help vould be appreciated.

The XP 2800+ has a 12.5x multiplier to be used with a 167 MHz (333 effective) frontside bus, yielding 2.083 GHz. The motherboard somehow got set to a 100 MHz (200 MHz effective) FSB setting, running your XP 2800+ at 1.250 GHz.

You'll need to set the FSB to run at the proper 167/333 settings to get the full speed. This might be done in BIOS, might be done with jumpers on the motherboard. You'll have to read the manual to determine how to do this. But once you're done, it should run at full speed.
