Problem with wifi switch hp compaq 6710b

Hello, i have a problem in switching on my wifi on my hp compaq 6710b,

If the switch is broke, and you cannot turn the wi-fi on or off, it can be turned on or off by going into your control panel, then to network and sharing center. Then click on change adapter settings. Left double click on the wi-fi card and select enable.

You can try shut down the system,take the battery out for minute,put it back in and start the system. That should solve the issue.It worked for me when I faced this issue.
