Ok, I recently reinstalled windows and all games on my computer. I installed Nascar Racing 2003, by Papyrus, it works perfect except for ONE problem...the sound of the engines in the game is bad. It sounds like a lawnmower. I had this problem before, and I don't remember how I fixed it that time. I'm not leaving all the info about my specs because it is NOT sound card related, this same problem has been on other message boards with different sound cards, both onboard and dedicated. None of them have a working fix though. All other sounds in the game work, I tried reinstalling the game, I've even tried downloading a patch somebody made to make more realistic engine sounds than what comes with the game, none of these have worked. I've tried it before and after downloading the patch that was released for the game. I KNOW I've had it working on this exact computer, with this exact hardware before, I just don't remember what it was I had to do. Thanks in advance for the help.

Ok, update...Got it figured out. Well, kinda. I don't exactly know which fixed it, but after reinstalling the game(again) reinstalling the audio drivers(again) downloading a new sound file(again) crossing my fingers, twirling in a circle, and standing on my head, it's WORKING!!! Have a great night y'all...PEACE!!!
