[SOLVED] Problems with backspace

I have the problems with backspace key on my Microsoft Surface Go (with Windows 10 in S mode), which is a work computer. Whenever I try to delete something in the middle of a word or a sentence in any textbox or text editor, too much gets deleted. One letter in front of the cursor is deleted and one letter behind the cursor. It is like I've pressed backspace and delete at the same time. This messes up my texts and edits, and I have trouble using it for work anymore. Two colleagues got their Surfaces at the same time, but does not have the same issue.

Anyone got any tips on how to solve this?

you can try to run the keyboard troubleshooter that is built into windows.
