So I recently installed a coolermaster AIO, and it came with the a1 rgb controller and 3 PL-Flux fans.

Before the AIO install, I had 1 MF-120 halo, and 3 MF120 case fans that were all controlled by a coolermaster small controller (Model Mfx-acbn-nnunn-r1).
They worked fine, but after I installed the AIO, I decided to take the small controller out to minimize the cables, because the a1 controller had enough ports to be able to controller all my fans. I ditched 2 of the MF-120 fans so now I have the 3 Flux fans, 1 halo fan, and 1 MF120 fan.

So my problem is that I can't control the 2 fans I had on the small controller. this is my configuration of the a1 controller:
Port 1: (using the 5 way splitter that came with the controller) Pump RGB, (3) PL-Flux fans
Port 2: MF-120 Halo
Port 3: MF-120

In Master Plus software, it shows all 4 devices that are connected to port 1, and all work properly and are fully addressible.
In port 2 and 3, it says there's no Gen2 devices are connected, and I can't control them and they're not lit.

If I turn the ports off (Unchecking the box) the two fans turn on, but it's just the default spectrum rainbow cycle.

I tried using SignalRGB, but I was only able to get the fans to turn white. With no control over them.

The clue is that "Gen2" label. Cooler Master has introduced a new version of ARGB they call Gen2. It is different enough from the original ARGB system that you can NOT mix them together on the same mobo header or Controller port. And the only way they work is if BOTH the Controller (or mobo header) and the light unit are of the new Gen2 design.

With that incompatibility to deal with, Cooler Master designed the new system so YOU as user have a choice of which way EACH output port of their Controller works. Go into their MasterPlus+ software tool for the lights and find the two ports with the non-functioning older style fans. For EACH look for a place to choose to use or NOT use the Gen2 feature and turn that off. This will change that port to use the original ARGB system and that should get your older lights working.

I'm not home so I can't post any screenshots, but I thought of that as well based off some articles I read, but I cannot find where to turn that off?

SOLVED. I feel so dumb. Posting the resolution here for anyone else that may have had this...

When you uncheck the box that says "gen2", you can edit the drop down boxes to select your model. It looks like they're greyed out but you can edit it!
