Hey, I built a pc yesterday, the specs are:

MB- MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi
CPU- AMD 7800x3d
CPU cooler- Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
RAM- CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 2x16 6000MHz CL30
SSD- WD SN850X 2tb
PSU- Corsair RM850e 850W
Case- Lian Li Lancool 216R

As for the GPU I’m still waiting for 4080 super to release,

About the ssd, I’m still waiting for it to arrive from Amazon so I took my ps5 m.2 which is sn850x with heatsink

1. Anyway I built the pc then on the first boot it showed non-blinking underscore on the upper left with black screen and then I went to bios to update it and to install windows, but after installing windows and updating the bios the underscore still shows up for 5 seconds then it goes to the normal boot,

I tried CMOS reset,
I tried disconnecting all the usb from the pc(mouse and keyboard)
I tried moving the m.2 ti different slot.

Now I noticed the sn850x does blink with orange led which I couldn’t find what it means so maybe the ssd does the problems?
He works perfectly on the ps5 and of course before using him I formatted him.

2. I connected my old GPU until the 4080s release which is 1070ti when I connected him and start the pc I clicked delete to get into bios but I couldn’t see the bios on the monitor and I noticed the boot led was lit on the MB and nothing was happening or showing up, then I restarted the pc and didn’t try to go into bios, nothing was showing until from no where the windows screen popped up (without the loading screen of mag or anything) it took long time I black screen, then I connected the DP to the motherboard and then tried getting into bios and it worked and I can see the whole boot too through the motherboard and not only windows popping up, so I can’t reach the bios with the gpu and I feel it’s something wrong with the mb itself any help here?

Heyo!

If youre connected to your monitor using Display Port, that's the issue.

To fix this, you have to download "NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays"

Link - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/

That page says,
Without the update, systems that are connected to a DisplayPort 1.3 / 1.4 monitor could experience blank screens on boot until the OS loads, or could experience a hang on boot.

A common issue, hope you get it fixed. 🙌
