Question Problems with new motherboard

I just upgraded my PC from an Sabertooth 990fx 2.0, cpu AMD 9590fx and 16gb ddr3 ram. To an Asus TUF gaming(updated bios), i7 9700k and 16 gb ddr4. Cooled with h110i v2, 600w psu (Windows 7). I'm having alot of problems starting up the computer, the mouse and keyboard were disabled in bios. but has been fixed. Now I'm having problems mouse is lagging and generally slow and the sound is not working. I have downloaded multiple drivers for both, but it does not seem to work any ideas or tips on what I am doing wrong.

Did you do a clean install of Windows 7 after upgrading the new parts?

why not go to windows 10?

Oddly enough there's a BIOS update for Windows 7 if this is the Asus TUF Z390-Pro.

But yes, much better driver support (BIOS/LAN/Chipset/etc) for Windows 10.

You need to do a clean install of Windows to fix this. Your old motherboard drivers are still in the system and are conflicting with the new motherboard which is causing your poor performance.
