Problems with toshiba ext hdd

Hello,
my toshiba ext. hard drive, a couple or more weeks ago was making a grounding sound, and my system kept telling me to format. I have over 100GB of info on it, & i don't want to lose it, is there a way i can fix this?

nope. its dead and gone.

well, you could send it out for daa recovery but then if you were taht rich you wouldnt be here asking. LOL

Its possible but expensive with zero guarranty of recoverability.
