Processor overheating I don’t know why

Aright so I finished my pc build and now have some software problems

My processor is getting really hot and when I say really hot I mean 100c + on chrome i have no idea why and help would be appreciated



*Specs*
I7 8700k
Asus rog z370-f mobo
Gtx 780
Nzxt kraken x62
Plus fans

I’m not to sure how it can even get with hot with a liquid cooler

Sounds like you didn't mount the cooler correctly?

put your finger on top of the pump and make sure its running, you will feel a slight vibration. If its not running then you got a DOA unit or its not plugged in right.

did u remove the plastic over the waterblock? did you plug it in?

also, did you do any overclocking on it yet or is it overheating at stock?

I did remove the plastic and I didn’t not overclock
For the other replies I will test them out now

For the water-block it could be too tight or not making good contact with the CPU heat-spreader. If you are not OCing why bother with a liquid cooler?
