professional ultrawide vs normal

Hey guys, so I'm not sure if I want a 75hz ultrawide monitor or a 100hz-180hz normal 16:9 monitor. Why don't professionals play on ultrawide..isn't there more field of view?? And they can obviously afford it..

Field of view is the same across all monitors, adjusted in the settings of a game. Many pro gamers play game on lower resolutions in order to spot others easier, and also it’s a pain to have duel ultra wide monitors. Many pros have duel monitors, for stream chats or just any needs such as discord separately rather than the overlay.

How is it easier to spot on a lower resolution though?
