This may be a duplicate question....

I log in as administrator and Windows XP PRO accepts my logon without problem.

However I find that I am using the profile for TEMP. I have received no
message of corruption in the profile.

What has happened and how can I restore using the administrator profile when
logged in as an administrator?

TIA
Michael

Reboot completely - do you receive the "corrupt" message after reboot?

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

I have rebooted several times and still the problem persists without any
corruption error message.

Create a new user, see if the new user has the same trouble.

Check the location the the profile is set to load in the registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList.

New users seem "normal" and uses the correct user profile.

%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\Administrator

Appears in profiles.

The only odd thing is the State which is 8100 hex. Course I am not a
registry editor guy so I have no idea what that means just that the number
range is significantly different that the others.
