Hi,

I am trying to install Pro Evolution Soccer 5 on Windows 10 and I get the fatal 1603 error message after I select a directory to install to. I have had the game running flawlessly on Win 10 previously so I don't know where the issue lies. I have read that it could be folder permissions or that it might be already installed but I have checked both of these and played around with installation settings with no success. Any help is much appreciated and thanks for reading!

You may receive this error message if any one of the following conditions is true:
  • Windows Installer is attempting to install an app that is already installed on your PC.
  • The folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is encrypted.
  • The drive that contains the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to is accessed as a substitute drive.
  • The SYSTEM account does not have Full Control permissions on the folder that you are trying to install the Windows Installer package to. You notice the error message because the Windows Installer service uses the SYSTEM account to install software.
