promise raid

i have 2 ibm 30 gig 75gxp drives in a raid 1 (strip) on the onboard raid controler of a msi k7t turbo in win2k pro. i ran sisoft and only got around a score of 23988. is there anything i can do to up my score??

I believe RAID 1 is mirroring, you need to set it to RAID 0, which is striping.

I've never set up a raid before. Do you use dma for the controller? You might try bumping up your i/o page lock too. I use 8192 intead of default.
Other than that, you'll get a boost from NTFS over fat32.

it is ntsf but where in the reg is the page lock thing?
