Prompt problem

when i open my pc prompt c appear like C:>1 and window is not uploading.what can i do?

How are you getting to the command prompt ?
What are you expecting to load, Windows won't load !
Start > Run > cmd

Your prompt should be:
c:\Documents and settings\???
(where xxx is your logon)

try entering these two commands
c:
cd \documents and settings\???

Ok... we need more details!
U try to open Windows and U get a cmd window?!
Does it actually boot into Windows and after that a cmd opens ? If so, U probablly have something that can't load quite normally (a service at startup maybe)
Go to start>run and type msconfig and go to startup tab and uncheck what U think it's weird (any %#!@%^....stuff like that ) things you don't need or aren't vital.

Or, if that's not it, U can't get into Windows?
Are you at the recovery console by any chance?! (have U pressed R key?)
