Hey mates,
I've recently started building a new rig and, after months of saving some money, bought an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 11GB card (comes with a factory OC). After downloading the latest driver that includes the NVIDIA Control panel, I'm wondering if there is any other good software out there, that provides good monitoring of the said GPU, to keep it nice and cool and prolong it's life span as much as possible, to aid the NVIDIA Control panel?
I've read that MSI Afterburner leads to some issues with FTW3 card, and Precision XOC is more recommended. My intentions are actually not to manually OC the GPU any further, but rather use this (or any other) software just for extra monitoring.
If my GPU'll work fine in Idle or Under load (won't overheat), I'll be happy with just NVIDIA Control Panel (if that's enough?). But if some overheating would occur, I'd use Precision XOC for setting more aggressive fan curves, to cool the GPU down, or even downclock MHz a little.
Any experienced user out there? Thank you all
