protective cap for 1150 socket

How do you get the protective cap back on the 1150 socket? I dont see how it snaps in and I dont want to damage any pins doing it.

Honestly, I don't think you can. I assume you are not using the board and that is why you want to cover the socket. Instead, get some paper, cut to size and then anchor using the socket lock.

I ended up being able to snap the little plastic piece back on. just close the lever and pop it back into place, just for future reference.

Its that damn "protective" cap that causes all the damage when people try to put it back on. AFter all, it sez "remove and keep" leading you to believe you are supposed to put it back on when cpu is removed. I wrecked TWO boards that way.
