I am part of a LAN and use a proxy server that my network administrator gave
me (an IP adress and a port) in order to browse and download files. I also
use it for msn messenger, because the messenger has that option, use proxy.
Question is, does the zone has that option , to use a proxy, because if I
don't use it, i have big lag and actually can't play.

Here's a site that might be able to help.. But it only mentions the
needed ports, not the option you mention. You should only need access
to the Zone ports, not the DirectX:

http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/PortRoute.html

Thank you for the info. Please tell me what should I ask my administrator to
do, in order to play on the zone through the proxy. Should I ask him to open
in the proxy the ports mentioned in the link you gave me? I know about
computers, but not so advanced to know how to configure a proxy server.
Please give me a little more detailed answer if you can. Thanks again for the
help, Elmo.

Below are the ports that need to be opened for the classic games, and
Zfriends. Euchre, Ants and the retail games will need the DirectX
ports:

MsnZone: These Ports for Zone are TCP: 80, 443, 9999, Port 6667 TCP is
the Trigger Port for this Port Range: 28800 to 29100 TCP

They include the ports many chat programs use to communicate so the
administrator may not want them opened.

There are links to pages for specific firewalls and routers on the
NibblesNbits page. I'm not that knowledgeable of the subject so I sent
you there.
