PS/2 Mouse

I am running Windows 2000 with a Celeron 900 on the Alton 758 Motherboard. From time to time when I press the Caps Lock or Num Lock the mouse freezes. Everything else work the keyboard and all the programs it is just the mouse that stops responding. The only way to get the mouse working is to restart the system.
I need help on this one!!!

Have you downloaded the latest mouse drivers from Microsoft? If not, try that
and post back.
