I read some articles about getting a PS3 controller to work on the PC. I have plugged it in via USB, and downloaded MotionJoy. I can calibrate the PS3 controller in Windows and it seems to work fine.

But when I try to use it with GTA IV, it doesnt seem to register or work. I plugged in my old Logitech controller and it calibrates in Windows, but doesnt work in GTA IV either.

PS I am running GTA IV on Steam and its modded with icenhancer.

Although I tried to get the PS3 to work on GTA IV without the mod, and it didnt.

Hmm I dont think I did that. I had PS3 selected in the motionjoy profile.

Do I just change the profile to xbox 360 emulator and it should work? Or do I have to download something extra?

yeah i think so. nothing to down load. let know if it works!

I have it set up exactly like this. But when I load up GTA IV and try to use it, it doesnt work at all. I go into the controller option in the game to make sure controllers are enabled and they are. And it just shows me an xbox controller and the control lay out.

Just followed the steps, and with a little trial and error got it working. Thanks for your help. I now switch from the PS3 controller to keyboard. Its more fun shooting up the place with the mouse, but everything else feels good with the Controller.

Cheers
