PS3 into PC

I heard that you could turn your PS3 into a PC by installing Linux onto it. I was just wondering if it would be better than my laptop at running my steam games.

Sony release several updates that don't allow the user to install Linux on the PS3. Unless they revert it back. Honestly I don't think your PS3 with Linux will play games better than your laptop. PS3 games are optimized to play smoothly on the console.
