Question PS4 Controller not working

So basically, I used to use a ps4 controller to play FIFA on my pc, charging stuff on the controller broke then my mate changed it and the controller still worked on his ps4, now I got the controller back and the PC doesn't recognize it, I have tried multiple micro-USB cables, the DS4 app and other stuff don't work because it can't be seen on the pc, I have tried just charging it and it works, it doesn't show up on device manager, the USB ports are fine because I unplugged my keyboard and put it there and frankly I don't have any idea on what to do.
