By that definition, Macs wouldn't be PCs either. And yes a Mac is a (overpriced) PC despite what Apple tries to argue.

I would argue most cell phones and game consoles are full-blown PCs. There may be some specialized/proprietary hardware, but the SOFTWARE is what enables/limits them.

Something like a home router is probably more akin to the PCs of old.

Read an article yesterday, wish I could find the link, that showed both games being played side by side in split screen.

Good luck finding any actual difference. While you are lying there dead trying to be amazed or disappointed by the graphics I'll be running around killing more people not caring very much as even the graphics of today on the 360 and PS3 are suitable enough to enjoy the game.

You clowns that will knit pick this are just that: clowns.

The DLNA thing has killed the PS4 for me,I have a PS3 in our family room that has never had a physical piece of software inserted into the disc drive just because of it's great streaming features.

OMG, the console with 50% more GPU cores and huge memory bandwidth advantage, can run the same game at a higher resolution? I'm surprised! Maybe in the future devs can use some kind of optimizationisizing and make the weaker console more faster, based off history that's nothing like the current situation.

To people who can't see the value of console gaming, I pity you.

Games on PC looks better, so what? I like having friends over and play games together on my console in my living room with beers/pizzas! BITE ME.

thats not a valid argument... you can hook up an xbox controller to a pc just as easy as you can hook it up to an xbox. and ever since hdmi, computers very easily hook up to a tv, just as easy as a console can be hooked up to a tv. i personally have cordless bluetooth everything, i dont game fps shooters at a high enough level that i feel any lag with wireless. i can play old school 8/16bit games through an emulator and a xbox controller, or use mouse and keyboard for other games. me and my friends have hella fun playing mario kart and super smash brothers and drink beer eat pizza. other than the extra money for decent bluetooth perhip's, its exactly the same besides the obvious benefits of a full featured computer.

So the latest consoles that aren't even out yet can't do native 1080p? Interesting, 'cause I've been gaming at 1440p for awhile now. I can't imagine going back to 1080p. Not even getting to 1080p...do they realize what year this is? My cell phone does 1080p.

Wow, I thought tomshardware was the one place on the goddamn internet where we would see unbiased opinions. Yet it's the same fanboyish shit everywhere else. Who the hell cares what platform you play on. This is an article about PS4 and XBOX one.

ps4 is better, clearly, if any console gamers here, don't buy MS buy sony console, try and not stagnate the PC market as much if u get sony one fyi

Pls i hate to digress from the main topic here but I'm new here and i can't seem to find the post i just composed using the "ask the community feature" so i wanted to post it here so by chance it gets answered.
I recently got a laptop and its a hp compaq presario cq56,4g ram 2.3ghtz amd processor,320hdd and 256mb dedicated video memory.
My questions are actually multiple:
1.the laptop freezes a few mins after startup, and could stay frozen for about 10mins.
2.i installed pes2013 in it and it meets the minimum requirements but even when the game starts it tends to lag and run in slow motion.
So the questions are:
1.are the specs stated above too low to run such game ?
2.what could be the cause of the frequent freezing.
3.a friend suggested that it could be the cause of a bad or faulty hard disk,is that also possible ?
4.im not so good with laptop specs,so pls could someone tell me about amd radeon, and what actual full processor does my system run on.
Thanks in anticipation.

I've really be able to play my PC almost just like my Xbox for the last year now, so my console looses less and less value to me. The only thing I really use it for is YouTube on the couch, which I could technically do with my tablet or my PC if I made the effort to set it up...

Why am I going to spend $600 on another console? Just don't see the reason... :/

Hmmm....

"(So far I’ve tested the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 versions.) The biggest variations between platforms falls upon visuals and player counts. On the current-gen versions Ghosts looks nearly identical, though I did encounter occasional framerate issues during the single-player campaign on PS3 and PS4."
