I was wondering if building a $500 PC would be better than the PS4. The PS4 itself has many great specs. I was wondering if this setup can beat the PS4.

So, which is better?

CPU:AMD Athlon X4 760K
MOTHERBOARD:MSI A78M-E35
GRAPHICS CARD:2GB EVGA GTX 650Ti Boost OR Radeon R7 260X
RAM:8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
HARD DRIVE:1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue
PSU:430W Corsair CX430
CASE:Rosewill Line-M

Solution
The PC will be much better. Especially overclocking and future upgrading. There might be better setups than what you proposed there. If you are interested, I can set one up for you.
If your electronic device is tampered by water, the fault is 100% you. Never has anything that I've used been "tampered" by water. My PS4 still works fine since I bought it a year ago. My PS3 lasted 8 years, and its death was NOT by water. My computer has never been tampered by water. Again, I will state. The fault is 100% YOU if your device is tampered by water.

I can easily tell the difference between 30 and 60fps idiot. TW3 is 30fps stable on PS4 after the latest patch.

first thing.. you got mad... i know that cause every PS4 fan i talk with he gets mad.. and watch your words next time baby... you cant compare PC to ps4 and the controller get peel of every time... you dont have a powerful PS4 and special edition controllers dude.. ask the professionals...

yes its 100% my fault but the accident happening every time.... specially if u have a little kids( sons/brothers).. i meant by buying a mouse and keyboard every month if they were tampered... and i didnt say the ps4 can be died with water... lol i meant the controller..

I like proving you wrong. Nothing you've stated is true. I'm 18. Nope, my PS4 controller has ZERO peeling. What the hell is the difference between normal controllers and "special edition"? The PS4 IS powerful for what it is. Show me a report of the PS4 controller dying by water. My old Dell keyboard/mouse lasted me 10 years. Now I have a Corsair K70 mechanical keyboard and Logitech G502 Proteus Core. It is very difficult to break keyboards and mice if you are even slightly careful with them.

when im talking about the diff between ps4 and pc i dont mean u.. you dont have brothers but other do.. i dare u to put ur controller in water for 1 minute...and i mean by powerful ps4 is that you haven't a diff ps4 than mine or diff controllers. AM I WRONG!!...so every probelm i got u got it too.. you should check google for rubber peeling..

i got like this after 3 day : http://gamesforplaystation4.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/1429670423_hqdefault.jpg

Why the hell would I put my controller randomly in water? I'm not retarded. The rubber peeling only happened with the first few batches of controllers. Rubber issue now is non existent. I have a sister. Same thing as a brother.

ye ye then explain to me why my controller doesnt work anymore... anyways lets talk about the performance cause its more important... GTA V runs on ps4 with : Low 22 AVG 30 -------- ON GTX 960 2GB OF VRAM WITH : LOW 38 AVG 54-58 BOTH ON THE SAME RESOLUTION

Edit: the PC on ultra quality 😀 idk how much fps would it get with high quality ?

then how much it should be with i5 4440 + GTX 960

You'll be able to max GTA V, just like my PC.

50 fps avg on ultra setting.... try to change it to High setting if u want more fps

The PS4 and the PC both run games, They both can give a very enjoyable gaming experience.

Pick the platform you like and play, have a good time or whatever you like doing. (Trolling included)

Arguing like this is fruitless and just a waste of anyone's time.
(Unless this is what you like doing in your free time, Very well then. Nothing stopping you.)

OP died here way long before...!!! lol...!!

If I have to pitch in on this,

I'd say that the 960 is somewhat more powerful than the iGPU on the PS4, but with the large amount of VRAM present in the console it will undoubtedly be a much more smoother experience in games that use more than 2GB VRAM.

And seeing how the PS4 architecture works I'd say it's the more efficient platform.

But there is no definite "Better platform". This is all subjective to your preferences.

If I were given a choice between the PC and the PS4 I'd undoubtedly pick the PC. (I love my Linux terminal :C)
(But once somebody hacks it to get Linux installed, maybe.)

hey ...!! you say that your PS4 have much better exclusive ,...!!! well i can play them on PC ....!! while you can't play PC games on PS4 ...!! and theirs also backward compability...!!! with high fps ...!!

Show me The Last of Us, Killzone, Little Big Planet, Resistance, God of War, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, Shadow of Rome on PC then. PC cannot play those games buddy.

I can play many PC games on PS4, but you can't play PS4 games on PC because the exclusives never come to PC ever. PS4 has backwards compatibility with older consoles. What backwards compatibility does PC have? Compatibility with itself? LOL

Many PS4 games run at 1080p60fps.

By the way, that PCX whatever PS3 emulator thing? It runs a 2D game at 2fps. Good work :)
