PS4 vs Gaming PC

Solution
Bro i would really tell u it depends on ur choice of spending cash,if ur a heavy gamer or a casual one. If ur planning to built a pc i would tell for the price of the ps4 u could built great pc with specs which could handle games at high settings at 1080p and on the same hand with the same price tag u get the ps4 which is really fancy looking at stuff and gives u a great expirince. BUT A VERY IMPORTANT THING TO MAKE NOTE IS THAT U COULD ALWAYS UPGRADE UR PC AT ANYTIME AND MAKE IT FASTSER WHEREAS,U CANNOT DO THAT ON A PS4. hope this helped u cheers!

Linus has a great video on this. I can summarize and give my own opinion: If you are planning on sitting on the couch and like the whole controller thing, a console would be more convenient. You have many more games on PC and it is much more upgradable. You can do so much more with a PC. The idea that a console is more powerful than a PC is simply a misconception. It is not a bit true. A console is also much easier to setup, but if you have time and dedication, a PC is the way to go. It all depends on usage.

budget is the main concern. for the same $400 (or less) a complete pc (os, case, ....) will be pretty weak and will require upgrading slowly to keep up with/be able to even play the newest games. the ps4 on the other hand is complete out of the box and will need no such upgrades over the years to play the newest games. in fact as seen over and over with other consoles, the games actually look better as time goes. the developers learn how to optimize better over time and despite much higher pc requirements, the same games will run on the same ps/xbox hardware you already have.

i have both and like both for different reasons (i do not play mulitplayer so can't say anything about that) but am also realistic that a super budget pc won't game very well at hd resolutions. i will add that older pc's can game well if they were not super cheap to begin with. for instance older core 2 quad/extreme systems can still game pretty well with a new gpu in it.

the modding community is also a great reason to go pc. most games have a decent if not awesome modding community that can totally change a game and increase it's playability life span for many years after it should have gone on to that great arcade in the sky. thus increasing your current pc's lifespan as well. there are many games from 7-8 years ago that still thrive online through modding and they won't tax the system as much since it is based on a very old game.

budget and you're willingness to upgrade as you go along will ultimately determine which is best for you. hope i helped some. while reading, avoid the fanboy noise. you can tell when you're reading this by all the talk of "stomps, trashes, crushes, you're an idiot if..., totally sucks....., " and other such talk. if it sounds like a 12 yr old wrote it, it is usually worth ignoring as it is probably not based on anything factual.

I am a heavy gamer but the thing is a PS4 costs around 34000 INR whereas if I have to build a decent PC to play all the high end games it will costs more than that.

Yes, as stated... the upfront cost will be cheaper.
But once you factor in the cost of the XBL / PSN subscription over time, the full price of games, and the lack of PC abilities.... you're really not saving any money.

But if you don't do things like torrenting (totally legal, of course), playing games that aren't "main stream" (early access, mods, etc), word processing, browsing, editing, or any other computer suited tasks.... then you will most likely be happier with a console. If all your buddies at school have a PS4, you will be happier being able to play with them.

Ok..If I have to buy a gaming PC to run all types of high end games.Could you tell me the configuration of it?
I will go with Intel processors and Nvidia GPU.

you'd be surprised what you can use to game with on pc and still enjoy it. you don't need 100+ fps on 3x 1080p monitors and such. if you are happy with console, this tells me that average settings on 1080p would be perfectly fine and you can do this pretty cheap if you have to. will be more than the ps4 for sure but how much more is debatable. if you have an online store you can shop at, and it is in english so i can read it :) , i'd be happy to offer a budget build that might show you some options. others would be happy as well to show a build i'm sure.

ignore the bickering and let's see if we can offer a suitable option for pc gaming to help you make up your mind.

Thanks for the info.Actually I am buying it for only gaming purpose and I can torrent the games as well so I will not buy the games 😛.And I think the performance of the games will be good on PS4 rather than on a budget PC.
P.S- A PC performing well would actually costs around 50000 INR.Really I can't spend that amount of money when I have the option to buy console.:)

Price for price, the PS4 will perform better than PC in games and only in games.

that's great..this way i can actually find the right thing for me.Online stores are : http://www.amazon.in/ or http://www.flipkart.com/ or http://www.snapdeal.com/. I am fine with medium settings on a pc but the only thing is that games should run smoothly and I am talking about high end games like battlefield 4, skyrim, arma 2,etc

Could you tell me which TV screen to buy if I am going for PS4..

1920 x 1080 60hz screen to your size of choice

Best to do a little research, just make sure it has low input lag
