Okay, one guy said I could use the nForce GT 610 synergy edition even if it requires a 300w power supply, and I have a 280w (max output) PSU. By myself I personally think it would work, but after some time the psu would just blow up, damaging all my components. He assures me it will work okay since my psu can output 18amp on +12 and the card requires 16amp, so the 20w problem isn't that bad. I need your help. I'm 100% sure this is the best gpu I can get for my quite old motherboard, and please tell me if I could run my gpu just fine with the psu. Or, if I couldn't what psu should I get and how much would I spend. I DON'T anyone telling you shoulda got that card, or that. I'm asking about the psu. Thanks in instance 😉

Most OEM systems are designed around the expectation that the PCIe slot could potentially be used. That allows for a maximum 75W part. At 26W the GT610 is nowhere near that.

Sounds like a good low-cost starter system. But don't expect much more upgrading. At a certain point it just stops making sense and you have to start from scratch.

I'm a little worried because this system is an ex-office worker, I cleaned it and gonna upgrade. It has a built-in speaker, seems like it has an additional fan (the system runs really cool) and has a dvd-drive I sometimes use (probably the only one still using it) 😀 Oh and it's gonna be my first upgrade, I'm only 12 but I'm pretty sure I looked up everything I need, and know quite much. So when it's delivered, I'm gonna install it right away. Thanks for the help.
