Question PSU death (Be quiet! system power 9 500w)

Will the death of this PSU take down every other component in the system too ?
I heard that this has happened too some ppl I know...

if it has protections like OVP , OPP , OCP , SCP then not.

Could happen.
Did it happen? Only way to find out is replace the PSU

woah it has all of them, so I'll be safe when It does die.
also got a replacement with the same protections !
