PSU dual 4 eps pin don't fit to 8 pin MOBO

Hi, I've got a question. Lastly I bought new motherboard- msi z370 gaming plus and now have a problem with connecting dual 4pin to CPU 8pin eps slot via8pin extension cord.
Seems that extension cable fit perfectly to the cpu slot on motherboard but both 4pins are identical/simetrical (photo).
I can force both 4pins to fit (all yellows to yellows, blacks to blacks) but I'm pretty sure if that would be ok... :d
The PSU is forton fsp500
I'm really confused right now. What should I do?

Need to know A: Make and Model of the Power Supply and B: Make and model of the Motherboard.

The SHAPE of those pins means nothing and should be of no concern.

The side with the latching mechanism determines the correct orientation.

Yea, forgot to write the psu model and edited that.
So its:
Psu Forton FSP500
Mobo msi z370 gaming plus

So would be that ok to connect all yellows to yellows and blacks to blacks?
Im bad into that electric things...

the extension cord came with the psu or you bought that somewhere else?

Cord Bought by myself cause psu cords were just too short.
But it looks like mobo slot so it shouldnt be a problem
