My Evga g2 750 watt is very loud when playing games, its not a whine it is more of a hum but it is only when i'm playing games. The hum is louder then anything else in my pc, i tried disabling Eco mode off and it didn't do anything. I don't have a psu to swap it out with or anything. So if anyone knows what i should do please tell me thanks.

lol... maybe felt real bad for you on that 970 . heck, I fell sorry for anyone who fell for it myself between the coilwine and 3,5 mem thing and this ''Furthermore, as we mentioned in our GTX 980 review, GTX 970 has been a pure virtual (no reference card) launch, which means all of NVIDIA’s partners are launching their custom cards right out of the gate. A lot of these have been recycled or otherwise only slightly modified GTX 700/600 series designs,

I guess evga may of felt pretty obligated to treat buyers of a 970 well ?? lot of baggage on a card release .. I assume you put in for your 30$ lawsuit payment ??

I hung around on them price drops and grabbed a 980ti hybrid for 411 at newegg.. so far so good , but time...
maybe getting hot for what ever reason and ramping the psu fan to full blast ?? anyway don't sound normal under normal use if your not overclocking or SLI'ing high power draw gpu that maybe trying to pull max amps [ say the 750w psu is 62 amps and your system is getting near that or trying to pull over that ??]

may be just a bad fan controller ??

good part is its a evga and I would contact there support and se if you can RMA before something goes POP ? don't them units have a 10 year warrantee ?

if you don't fell its right then try to RMA with evga .. there easy to work things out with

Only thing I can recommend is to call them 1 (888) 880-3842 . Your loud may differ than someone else's loud. Maybe post a link to a video. SOMETIMES going to power options(right click start/click power options) and changing it to high performance or even power saving has sometimes corrected this issue.

Sounds like something is resonating which probably means EVGA will ask you to return it. Make absolutely no concessions. You can even get ummm a bit uh mad? that you have purchased one of EVGA's top of the line PSUs and it's annoyingly loud. What they can do is escalate the RMA from normal to advanced. Normally one needs to pay for an advanced RMA. What an advanced RMA means is that they will send you out a new product identical to the one you purchased. You replace the PSU and send the old back to them after you verify everything is working correctly. Also, do not pay for shipping. I won't pay for EVGA's quality control issues. Sure, mistakes are made. I understand but I really can't afford to pay for shippping. EVGA (EDIT) can* send you a shipping label eMail that you can then print. They will of course need a debit or credit card number. They will not charge it even 1 penny. They simply need it to have on file should you choose to keep both PSU's. They would then charge you for the second PSU. You send there old one back and nothing is ever charged to the card.

For the seasoned PC builder the fan inside can be switched out with another one. That would be one more extreme troubleshooting step and would most likely void your warranty. Don't try that one at home unless you are prepared to void your warranty. .

No. My 970 FTW died. Went through many many different troubleshooting steps. Looooooong story short that advice comes from personal experience. It is not a company policy. It's just EVGA going above and beyond. You can't say well John Doe got it for free, why not me?. Wrong approach.

Just to show I do own a 970 from EVGA and not simply...blowing smoke. It's just advice. It isn't anything a customer can demand. I am not one that likes to pay for a problem I did not cause, even if it is just a nominal shipping fee.

''I'm sorry, but the only way we cover shipping is if the product was purchased within the last 30 days, or if you've purchased the Advanced RMA for your product.

Please contact us with any further questions.

maybe if you cry just right ?? last card I sent to them was only 12.50 USPS priority mail with a tracking #, but I guess some folks are hurting that bad over 12 bucks on a 100 buck plus item

but ya I agree it should be you pay to them but if your part was approved for rma that should be reimbursed I guess you pay to them helps cut out a lot of overhead cost on things that come in and not covered as well ??

all you can do is hook up on the rma and shoot for the best you can in the end

bad thing is how much a psu weighs ?? that's where the cost is for shipping it

I'm hurting that I purchased it not even 10 months ago and the price has dropped over $100. I thought cars depreciated fast.

I agree with EVGA, of course. That is their policy. Behind closed doors? Guess I cried just right.
