Hi i recentl built a new pc but kept my old psu and since my pc keeps restarting at random moments. It can vary from 1h to restart every 30 sec. I went to the event viewer and it says that my pc turned off by missing power. Knowing my psu is 10 years old im assuming this is the problem. Just making sure it is so i dont buy this for nothing. Thanks!

The only way to tell for certain is to replace the psu with a known good psu of sufficient power.
If you can't borrow one, buy a replacement from a shop with a good return policy.
Expect to pay a 15% restocking fee if you want to return it.

But, considering the age I would look for a quality replacement.
Look for a 750/850w unit unit with a 7 to 10 year warranty.
Seasonic focus or corsair rm series would be good.
Over provisioning is not bad, the psu will only consume the power demanded of it, regardless of the max capability.
