oK i have the next PC:
GPU:Nvidia GTX 960 G1 Gigabyte 2gb
CPU:Amd FX 8320 8c 3.5ghz
2 SATA WD 1TB
x1 DDR3 RAM Hyper x 8gb 1666
x1 fan 120mm

i have an asus m5a78l-m usb3.0 and a very bad psu Apevia 680w so i want to buy one CX450WM and another MB a Gigabyte Ga-78lmt-usb3 Is this going well for me? And how much power does my system consume?

Solution

Honestly, either one is good. I usually pick EVGA over Corsair, but I'm bias. Not to mention I have a CX650M in my rig.
Wait you already have this stuff? If you are going to get a 960, why not use that money and get a 1060 instead? For the same price, you get one more gig of VRAM, and faster processor. But your wattage is 354 with the ASUS. It probably will be similar with the gigabyte, so a 450 watt PSU should be good.

I wouldn't bother with a new motherboard, just run with the M5A78L-M. You're just wasting money investing in an AM3+ motherboard in all honesty.

Like Herc08 says, if you don't already have the 960, I wouldn't invest in one unless it's real cheap.

With the ASUS board, you're running around ~350W or so, theoretical max load - you're unlikely to be anywhere close to that in 'real world' usage.
Probably using a little under 300W.

A CX450M, for the price & quality can't really be beaten.
