So basically to cut the story short.
I binned a Mobo and CPU because i figured they were faulty after years of use, the fans etc would spin but the mobo would not work and pc would not power up even when i tried a different PSU.. so this was a sure sign my mobo had died
So i borrow a mobo and cpu of a friend... 4 days later same thing, mobo wont post, fans work etc... My friend takes the pc out of the case and tests it outside and it still doesn't work after several attemps.. it booted once without a GPU in but this red an error
We then finally tried a different PSU out of the case... worked fine, booted 100% of the time we tried and the monitor worked etc
So now im thinking my psu is the issue.. but if it was, why did a different psu not work on my old motherboard... why has this psu worked on this new motherboard
It's all so confusing
