PSU screws won't screw in?

I have screws that you screw in with your fingers, but they don't seem to completely screw in. I am getting a new case so that could fix it, but my friend and I couldn't get all 4 to screw in. We got 2 to completely screw in, the 2 others are going in maybe a turn then free spin (just turn with no progress). The PSU isn't moving and hasn't since I transported it, but I worry about it. I saw there is a thing called cross threading or cross treading, or something like that. I haven't checked to see if I did that because I am away from my PC to check. Is that what's going on? If not, how do I fix it?

Solution
Free-spinning screws after a couple of turns usually means the threads are stripped, either on the affected screws or stripped threads in the PSU's fixing holes. Cross-threading when inserting the screws at some earlier time can cause stripped threads on both the screw and the component.

Examine the screws and replace as necessary, and hope it's just the screws that are damaged, not the holes in the PSU.

It could also be possible that the two affected screws are the wrong size or wrong thread-pitch compared to the two good screws.

That's what I feared. I'm confident it's the PSU though. Would it be secured enough with just the 2 screws?

They are as tight as possible in opposite corners. Once I order all of the new parts I am buying I will look deeper into it. Thanks!
