HP uses Bestec as an OEM in some of their prebuilt systems so it's possible they have some tier 3-4-ish units, and might work for very low powered systems, but aside from that I'd avoid them entirely and if they're more than 15 bucks you might just as well buy something that's at least on the 3rd tier in the 20-30 dollar range.

Although I couldn't find any reviews for the NEX 750B, I was able to find some for the NEX 750G also manufactured by FSP and degraded to tier4. Compared to the Raider 750W, this unit seems to have better capacitors and performance results.

Are you sure that they are the same as the Raider 750?

I could barely make out the 80+ label on the one unit I could see it on, and they have DRM on the image to stop you from copying the file itself. But it definitely looked like 600 to me. I also looked for reviews on them, and did not find any.

B and G units are entirely different. B1 and B2, and G1 and G2 are also entirely different. Different platforms and you can't use the reviews on one for the other.

USe the zoom feature on the first pic in Amazon listing I posted. Clear as day 750w and 62.5a on 12v rail.

Yeah I thought so aswell. FSP is not great but they make good units. I didn't think G1/B1 would be tier 4 and I don't understand why they are there. Perhaps B1 belongs there but not sure about G1. I think they're better than the Corsair CX.

Over 5% is unacceptable. Four point four five percent is not great by any stretch, but is within spec, which means any attached parts should be happy with it. Compared to other units, it may be poor, but if that's the chief complaint about this unit, and the caps aren't croakers, it might belong (however grudgingly) on Tier-3. Tier-4 units, to me, are those which do indeed wander out of spec when stressed, or die early because of inferior parts. Two differences between Tier-4 and Tier-5 are that 1) Tier-4 units, when they die, are content to die alone because they have working protection circuits, and 2) It is conceivable, at least on a good day, that Tier-4 units are good for their labels (although they may derate on an "average" day).

The caps aren't great by any means. I would still say it is a tier 4 unit only based on the fact that the CX are tier 4. If this gets moved back to tier 3, then the CX must also be moved sans cx750 as it plain sucks. The cx430 however is not bad at all.

In my opinion it would be cx430/500 in tier 3 and cx600/750 tier 4.

The reason im asking for this specific PSU is because it the only OK priced PSU in my local shop since i cant be bothered to order things online where i live.

Im not planning in upgrading my GPU anytime soon, so i guess i will be alright. If i will upgrade my GPU, the shop has better PSUs but a bit overpriced. Thanks for your help.

I handled a couple of Sentey's a few years ago and they were very good. A Golden Steel model and a Solid Power SS. I haven't seen one in a long time though. I did not even know at the time they were Super Flower, but looking back it makes sense now.

Has HP ever used Seasonic or similar great OEM for thier PSU's?
I put full load on everything with benchmarks and I still have legs...

My friend got a EVGA 600W... Closest review I could find was the 430W and 750W on JonnyGuru... But one got a 5.5 and the other a 8.5(respectively)... Should he return it ASAP. with a Q6600 and a 7950? I'd think it would be fine, what do you guys think.

The NEX650G has a quad 12 volt rail system... Max I've seen is first... very interesting
