Thanks, good to know. I will relate this to the other thread.

Thanks for nothing guys,

the corsair CS series doesn't belong on this list, especially not at tier three given how common fan failures are. I get to try and argue an RMA on day one of ownership.

Can someone pull the finger out and get it off the list, I may as well have picked something at random, this is the opposite of helpful advice.

I am geting the evga s.n 1300w and people here said that its quiet but in forums and reviews they say that its pretty loud.... And it doesnt have echo switch.. But I want total silence How much noise do you believe it makes? People also said that its noisy even on IDLE. But dont you think its weird that the super flower leadex gold 1300w HAS an echo switch but the evga s.n 1300w g2 hasnt and its based on its platform... :/

Besides which, it's listed as a tier 3 unit and if you had bothered to read almost any page on this discussion prior to purchasing it you'd know that we recommend the CS, CX, VS and RM units only be used with mainstream systems, not systems with discreet gaming cards or those that are overclocked. And as mentioned, every single PSU model made is going to see some failures. There are no electronics that don't have some percentage of failures. That's the nature of assembly line manufacturing. It happens.

Ok psu came,i installed it already and i think i ll keep it after all..I can barely hear my pc working now and readings in gpu-z seems pretty stable...One more thing..Do i have 5 years factory warranty from purchase or i have to register my psu model somewhere?

Super Flower doesn't have any product registration web page.

5 years from date of purchase if you can supply proof of purchase. Otherwise it'll be 5 years from date of manufacture that they can determine by the PSU's serial number.

Hi I just bought a thermaltake toughpower semi modular 550w and I cant cancel it now I cant decide to refuse it when it shipsI or to keep it

A) Please do not quote the entire List
B) If you refuse it, make sure you get your money back... If you can't throw it in a closet and or take it apart and hang it on your wall with a note that says "UTTER DOOM"

Fixed the mega quote 😉

The ToughPower 550w is an FSP made 80 Plus Gold unit. Probably not going to win any awards but probably not going to explode your computer either. I would use one if I had to without worry. I wouldn't order one with better options available for the same price though.

When you quote someone just click below the quote and type your reply there.

You actually picked one of the better Thermaltake units to order.

Thanks for the help literally just made an account so should I keep the thermal take or return it and get the raid max vampire 700w

Oh dear no. Raidmax is explode your computer bad ( OK maybe an exaggeration but I wouldn't buy one) . The Thermaltake is a much better unit.

I'd rather try and run my computer by rubbing to two sticks together, than risking my hardware with ANY Raidmax power supply, regardless of who made it for them. I'm not much of a fan of Thermaltake power supplies either, but in this case it's one of the better units, which ain't saying much, but it's miles and miles above any Raidmax unit.

Pretty much any known brand has a good line of PSU's. Usually the ones like Raidmax have terrible units below 100 dollars, and pretty good units for a lot more money. Usually too expensive in comparison to EVGA, Super Flower, Seasonic etc.
